  2. O'Gorman also ran the Royal Air Factory, a company that sold aircraft to the British air forces Royal Flying Corps (RFC - 1912-1918) and the Royal Air Force (RAF - 1918-Present) from 1912 to 1920.The company was responsible for selling aircraft that were nothing short of death traps until 1917 when O'Gorman and designer H.P. Folland unveiled the SE5a fighter, possibly the best fighter plane of the war. The Royal Aircraft Factory had a near monopoly on the Royal Flying Corps.
